With the vision to be the world’s best kids’ mobility brand, woom is harnessing the great Austrian outdoors for the love of cycling. To encourage kids to love riding their bikes and make the world a little bit better along the way.
Founded by two bike-loving fathers in a garage in Vienna, one of whom was an industrial designer, woom is now the largest and fastest-growing bicycle brand that is endorsed by parents and kids alike, promoting healthy living with timeless design.
It is no surprise the 500,000th woom bike rolled off the production line in 2021 – with woom bikes now sold in 30 countries around the world.
With significant growth plans for 2023 both in Austria & the US, plans are underway to grow and develop the current industrial design team of 6. Best in class design is needed to work on woom bikes, equipment & accessories to identify unique opportunities for user centric innovation and to craft stories that develop into world class design solutions.
You will have the opportunity to work across all aspects of the design process: from user focused research to the end product. You will bring your creative mindset and passion for user centric design to deliver innovative, meaningful products and experiences.
Your Mission
· Be a creative force in a small team.
· Deliver innovative concept designs and approaches.
· Research, conceive, develop and deliver incredible products and user experiences across our product portfolio.
· Create extraordinary user journeys, identifying opportunities and routes for innovation.
· Compile engaging, on-brand presentations. Communicate these effectively to the wider company.
· Interface efficiently with the wider product teams.
· Communicate effectively with external partners, suppliers and manufacturers.
· Craft strategic design stories that translate into tangible concepts and ultimately class-leading products.
· Create 3D CAD to a high level suitable for prototyping and (in some cases) production.
· Design innovative packaging for new and existing products.
· Be a design champion within the business, promoting creative design thinking and approaches.
Your Skills
· 2+ years experience in a product (or industrial) design related discipline, in house or consultancy.
· Experience in Gravity Sketch / VR sketching.
· Highly proficient in KeyShot.
· An excellent knowledge of 3D CAD (Solidworks preferred).
· Fluent in English since the team communicates entirely in English.

This role is based in Greater Vienna, Austria (Klosterneuburg), and requires the ability to work in the EU without visa restrictions. Sponsorship is only available for special circumstances.
Salary
The salary for the Industrial Designer position is varied depending on experience, with a significant range on offer from £35,000 to £70,000.
€40,000 - €80,400.
Remote Working
You will be expected to work in Vienna full time. There is potential to work from home at certain moments, but a great creative team is one that works truly together.
Interview Process
The interview process for this position is likely to be multiple stages.
An initial virtual call with the Design Director who is originally from the UK, followed by a meeting in Vienna.
It is likely you will have to complete a design task as part of the recruitment process.
