Events

Events form the foundation in bringing the community to life.

From bus or by Brompton, 150 designers turned up to the inaugural launch event #001 during a Tuesday-night tube strike in London, and we have not looked back ever since.

Since then we have sold out all of our first 10 events across four cities in Manchester, London, Cambridge & Bristol.

Over 1000 designers attended a Design Truth event in 2023.

Whether it is a catch up with old colleagues, a hazy trip down memory lane with alumni to forming new connections for that student placement, design internship, freelance contract or career opportunity - a Design Truth event provides the perfect backdrop for you to make things happen.

A ticket to a Design Truth event continues to be the most sought after ticket in the calendar.

PODCAST.

Design Truth started as nothing more than a podcast back in April 2020.

A creative outlet designed to keep industrial designers connected during periods of lockdown, uncertainty and isolation.

Over 60,000 downloads later, the podcast is a vehicle to keep the community engaged with our initiatives and industry life.

We have spoken to the likes of Arrival, Blond, Morrama - covering topics about becoming a BCorp, starting a design agency, transitioning to service design, design education through to The Apprentice.

There is something for everyone.

This is a project we stopped at over 60,000 downloads - but we hope the conversation remains timeless.

““Finally a real world Industrial Design podcast that is not stuck in the clouds.”
