I started Design Truth as my part in making design a better place to be. With over 10 years at the coalface of design recruitment, the experience taught me just how much designers needed community. A reason to unplug, make some new friends, and to begin a movement where we hire through human connection. Now I spend my time not only recruiting, but leading initiatives built to remove barriers and encourage a flourishing design industry. Given the week that can look like a large-scale jobs fair for the redundant, funding an exhibition space for design students, or spearheading a student award programme built around getting young designers into award-winning design studios.
